Description
This railing extension with safety base is used to complete the railing when you need to cover more space, maintaining the same appearance and functionality throughout. It allows you to complete the route in a clean and tidy manner, without design changes or visual breaks. It is a practical solution for enclosing mezzanines, lofts or walkways.
The kit includes two steel posts, handrails, an aluminium intermediate tube, plinth and the necessary hardware, all ready for a clean and tidy installation.
Its modular design gives you the flexibility to adjust the installation to suit the space: you can place the posts closer together if the section is short or add more extensions if you need to extend it. And if your route has corners or changes of direction, you can easily solve them with the railing connection kit, maintaining a continuous line.

Railings
Compatibility with our mezzanines
It is important that the railing range matches the mezzanine range where it will be installed.
In the specifications for each railing, you will find a drop-down menu where you can select the available range and height. To ensure a perfect fit, choose a railing from the same range as your mezzanine. Always check this selector before adding to your cart.
The main product image shows which ranges are available for each model, so you can quickly see which ones fit your mezzanine.
Compatibility with other surfaces
If you wish to install the railing on surfaces, it is important to ensure that the fixing is stable and secure. Check that the surface can support the intended use, that the anchors are suitable and that the railing is secure before use.

Note: These railings have been designed and tested for anchoring to MezzaninesOnline mezzanines. Installation on other surfaces is the responsibility of the installer.
This is not recommended, as to cover a space with reduced height (i.e.: attics, irregular/low ceilings, etc.) we recommend installing the Low Railing instead. This particular railing model will allow the height of the railing posts to be adjusted to the client's taste.
That depends. The railing kits are 78 3/4" long. You will have to calculate how many kits you need.
The steel parts are coated with a highly adherent polyester paint coating using an electrostatic process. The colors and finishes available for the railings are as follows:
The handrail of the railings and stairs are available in aluminum in the following finishes:
Anodized silver is the only available finish for waterproofed products.
The loft bed and rope railings are fitted with handrails made of solid natural beech wood. In the case of the spiral staircase railings, the handrails are available in black polyethylene or black rope.
This type of lacquer is perfect for indoor use. If you plan to install the mezzanine outdoors, we recommend consulting FAQ 22: Can I install a mezzanine outdoors? This section contains information and recommendations to consider in order to improve its performance and durability.
Shipping
At MezzaninesOnline, we offer four types of boxes that are carefully designed to adapt to and protect the products. Depending on the products in your order, you will receive one or the other.
Mezzanine floors in the S, M and L range are shipped in the same type of box. The S and M mezzanines require one crate for each shipment. The L range, however, normally requires two crates.
The XL mezzanines are shipped in two boxes; one for the wooden elements and one for the steel elements.
The rest of the products (stairs, handrails and other items) are shipped in smaller boxes.

Our logistics department packs the products with great care to optimise the space available inside the boxes. Sometimes, smaller products may share a box with mezzanines. In this way we make the most of the space and ensure that everything fits correctly.
Don't be alarmed by the total weight of the product, the components are light and manageable, so you can move them easily and take them up in the lift. The heaviest components are the primary beams from the L range (86 lb), the rest of the ranges are considerably lighter (26.5 lb). The floor panels are very light and fit in any lift. No component is more than 94 1/2" long and therefore, fits in most lifts.
However, it is important to mention that in the case of the XL range, some components may be a little heavier.
