Description

Made of steel and aluminium, this non-climbing railing adapts perfectly to any environment, regardless of whether it is a mezzanine, terrace, walkway or any other area where additional protection is required.

You can install the railing on a mezzanine or on any other surface thanks to its floor mounting plate. It is the customer's responsibility to guarantee the resistance of the surface on which this product is to be placed. When using the railing on a non-MezzaninesOnline surface, the customer must purchase the most suitable anchors, in accordance to the resistance offered by the installation surface.

This kit includes screws, three steel posts, handrails, two horizontal support tubes and aluminium slats that shape a stable, lightweight and easy-to-assemble railing.

Thanks to its modular system, it is possible to reduce the length of the railing by placing the posts closer together, as well as to lengthen it by using the extension kits. It is possible to adjust the handrails and horizontal tubes by cutting them to the desired length. In this way, you can obtain a railing that fits perfectly into your space and adapts to your needs perfectly.

How do I know if a railing is compatible with my mezzanine? And with other surfaces?

Compatibility with our mezzanines

It is important that the railing range matches the mezzanine range where it will be installed.

In the specifications for each railing, you will find a drop-down menu where you can select the available range and height. To ensure a perfect fit, choose a railing from the same range as your mezzanine. Always check this selector before adding to your cart.

The main product image shows which ranges are available for each model, so you can quickly see which ones fit your mezzanine.

Compatibility with other surfaces

If you wish to install the railing on surfaces, it is important to ensure that the fixing is stable and secure. Check that the surface can support the intended use, that the anchors are suitable and that the railing is secure before use.

Types of anchors available:

Plate anchor: installed directly on the surface, ideal for flat floors or platforms.
Side anchor: attaches to the edge of the mezzanine or platform, useful when the top surface cannot be drilled.

Tips for safe installation:

Verify that the surface is firm and sturdy (solid wood, concrete, brick, or metal).
Use compatible, high-quality screws or anchors depending on the type of installation.
Check that the railing is straight and level before securing it permanently.
Perform periodic stability checks after installation.

Note: These railings have been designed and tested for anchoring to MezzaninesOnline mezzanines. Installation on other surfaces is the responsibility of the installer.

Can the railing be cut to reduce its height?

This is not recommended, as to cover a space with reduced height (i.e.: attics, irregular/low ceilings, etc.) we recommend installing the Low Railing instead. This particular railing model will allow the height of the railing posts to be adjusted to the client's taste.

Does one flank of railing cover an entire side of the mezzanine?

That depends. The railing kits are 78 3/4" long. You will have to calculate how many kits you need.

What are the colours and finishes available for the railing?

The steel parts are coated with a highly adherent polyester paint coating using an electrostatic process. The colors and finishes available for the railings are as follows:

White (RAL: 9016). (Available from stock at no extra cost.)
Black (RAL: 9005) (Available from stock at no extra cost).
Micro-textured anthracite grey (RAL: 7016). Waterproof treatment is only available on a specific selection of products.

The handrail of the railings and stairs are available in aluminum in the following finishes:

Anodised silver (at no extra cost).
Black lacquer (additional cost).
Wood effect (additional cost).

Anodized silver is the only available finish for waterproofed products.

The loft bed and rope railings are fitted with handrails made of solid natural beech wood. In the case of the spiral staircase railings, the handrails are available in black polyethylene or black rope.

Installation

How can I find and hire an installer for Tecrostar products?

You can find an fitter near you on misterassembler.com. This website puts fitters and customers in contact, so the price and the responsibility of the installation is the fitter's. This website is not associated with MezzaninesOnline.

MezzaninesOnline can provide you with an estimate of the cost of assembly that depends largely on the distance between the assembly team and the installation site and the type of service hired (prior visit and measuring, delivery service and transport of goods to the site).

In any case, this estimate must be agreed between the client and the fitter.

Shipping

How is the product shipped and received?

The mezzanine floors are packed and shipped by an external agency in a lorry provided with a lifting platform, so that the boxes can be unloaded on the ground. The order will be delivered at street level to the address specified by the customer.

If there are access restrictions, there could be additional costs due to the necessity of transferring the merchandise to a smaller vehicle.

In order to deliver mezzanines XL, the delivery location should be accessible to a truck/long trailer. Should you think there is any kind of restriction, please contact us. The customer should take care of the merchandise unloading process. That unloading should be made from the lateral sides of the truck (this kind of truck does not have a back liftgate). We deliver the product packed with pallets at the bottom, so its unloading should be made preferably with a forklift.

How is the package and what are its dimensions?

At MezzaninesOnline, we offer four types of boxes that are carefully designed to adapt to and protect the products. Depending on the products in your order, you will receive one or the other.

Mezzanine floors in the S, M and L range are shipped in the same type of box. The S and M mezzanines require one crate for each shipment. The L range, however, normally requires two crates.

The XL mezzanines are shipped in two boxes; one for the wooden elements and one for the steel elements.

The rest of the products (stairs, handrails and other items) are shipped in smaller boxes.

Our logistics department packs the products with great care to optimise the space available inside the boxes. Sometimes, smaller products may share a box with mezzanines. In this way we make the most of the space and ensure that everything fits correctly.

How do I get the product up to my home?

Don't be alarmed by the total weight of the product, the components are light and manageable, so you can move them easily and take them up in the lift. The heaviest components are the primary beams from the L range (86 lb), the rest of the ranges are considerably lighter (26.5 lb). The floor panels are very light and fit in any lift. No component is more than 94 1/2" long and therefore, fits in most lifts.

However, it is important to mention that in the case of the XL range, some components may be a little heavier.
